I’m Una, a professional Retreat Leader, Event Planner and Traveler. I’ve been to over 30 countries and love helping others experience the world in new and exciting ways. I’m here to help you plan and lead your own transformational retreats that will change your business and the lives of your participants.
In my early 20’s I was an elementary art school teacher. I loved working with kids but the idea of sitting at a desk working 9-5 for the next 20 years, awaiting retirement, crushed me. I was tired, overworked, stressed, and hated the idea that I would do the same thing over and over again every day, every year until I was old enough to retire.
I started dreaming about foreign lands. I wanted to live an exciting life, not spend over an hour in the car everyday driving to suburbia and back.
I wanted to know the world. I wanted to understand what the colors of India looked like, what the food in Italy tasted like, what the spice markets in Morocco smelled like.
I decided to risk everything, take a sabbatical and ended up traveling to 22 countries in 2 years…
by myself….with just a backpack.
I learned about different countries, the people, their food, their cultures.
I discovered a welcoming, exciting world, despite the fears on the nightly news or that of my family. I discovered that traveling was an education in and of itself… and the world became my classroom.

I was different in a way that permanently altered my life. I was more myself. I was hooked on travel, personal transformation and ready to make some big changes in my life.
After “retiring” from my teaching job, I moved to Costa Rica to get my yoga teacher certification and I realized that life was filled with possibilities if I was brave enough to follow my heart. It was clear to me that the story that one had to work a 9 – 5 job for 30 years before they retired and began to enjoy life was a myth. I understood that I could go anywhere and do anything. I could “follow my bliss,” as Joseph Campbell writes.
I also met others who had woken up to this very same principle and we began to collaborate on sharing our passions. I was able to combine my passion of traveling with my gift of organizing! On my first few retreats, I got to travel, introduce a group of people to a new land, and had my travel expenses covered. It was a good start. And as I led more retreats, I learned even more about myself, about how to deliver a quality experience to my retreat participants and how to make money along the way.
This has all led me to want to share this lifestyle with other facilitators like yourself. Selling out an international retreat can be a complicated and daunting task. Why not use my expertise, and model the successes I have had to make it easy! I have organized, planned, and launched over 100 transformational retreats in 25 countries! I helped 50 retreat leaders plan and lead profitable retreats, served over 1000 retreat participants and done over 1.5 million in retreat sales!
