Niki Saccareccia is a Los Angeles based E500 yoga therapist and meditation instructor, teacher trainer and wellness expert. She teaches to empower others to be the main agent of positive change in their lives by reconnecting to the inner healing intelligence. She does this by facilitating first-hand experience of true relaxation and complete mental focus. Her background as a Clinical Behavior Therapist makes her teachings accessible to everyone, without watering down the timeless wisdom of yoga’s rich technology.
Niki has had the great privilege of training with master teachers like Mark Whitwell, Leslie Kaminoff, Dr. Gil Hedley, and continues her ongoing study of yogic philosophy through the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya and Swami Satyananda Saraswati. She spent some time in northern Thailand learning basic Thai Massage and is the author of Roadmap to Mindful Living, a curriculum and protocol for developing sustained wellness behaviors blending the tools of Applied Behavioral Analysis and Yoga.
She leads classes, workshops, trainings and international yoga retreats that create an embodied experience of our one true nature: relaxation, strength and focus. Niki is also deliberately practical: Students learn about their anatomy and the mentality moving them from one action to the next, while cultivating a deep sense of presence and physical improvement whether they are utter beginners or yoga teachers, themselves. She focuses on breath-based physical alignment and then blends the sacred philosophy of yoga’s holistic teachings into the physical experience. In class, you’ll notice that she is a poet at heart, seamlessly weaving imagery, knowledge and instruction in an elegant and easy-to-follow way.
The insights and self-actualization that yoga says is our birthright are brought down to earth in manageable, understandable and exciting ways through Niki’s unique background and experience. She will challenge what you think you know while inviting you to explore what is possible about your own anatomy, mentality, your physical abilities and your sense of imagination. She meets the needs of each student as an individual, whether in a group class or private lesson.
Her habit-changing yoga practices have been featured at Loyola Marymount University Masters of Yoga program, as the leading wellness consultant at University of California Novus Think Tank, to the special education staff at Bridges 2e Academy, Breath 4 Change and in the Medical Magnet Program at Van Nuys High School; on Yoganonymous.com, ElephantJournal.com, Sivana East, WeTravel and Wanderlust.com; at addiction rehabilitation centers, country clubs and corporate office buildings around Los Angeles County; in the writers rooms for Bento Box Productions and MTV; on meditation apps like Yoga Wake Up, and at lifestyle festivals in Oregon and California.
