Can you remember a time when you were feeling certain in your life and able to ask for what you want? Is this something you’ve been yearning for? Join Britt and Alex for a weekend of clearing your body, mind, and heart through yoga, ceremony, and community. The weekend will marry deep alignment-based asana with the quiet practices of meditation, mantra, and connection. We’ll steep in yogic practices together, break bread, and share common space at Manitou’s SunMountain Center. Between practices, take advantage of Manitou’s resplendent hiking, relax in the gorgeous accommodations, or soak in SunWater Spa’s mineral spring.

 About Alex

Alex is inspired by the unending depth the practice of yoga offers. She leads her students towards stronger bodies and softer hearts through detailed and deep cues, intelligent sequencing, and a focus on actions and drills that will have you lighting up hard-to-fire muscles. Expect strong, detailed holds, deep melts, and more overall strength and suppleness in your body. Alex guides her students towards the feeling of being at home in their bodies and lives, and believes that the practice of yoga reveals the heart and Wholeness in each of us.

About Brittany

Brittany is a teacher of clarity. Her classes threads breath, detail, and focused mind through steady holds and slow, fluid flows. Britt’s love of metaphor and visualization create pathways into a meditation on the depth available in each experience. You can expect to explore new movement, inspire curiosity, and leave your mat feeling grounded and centered. Britt believes that the practice of yoga can awaken us to the choice we have in each moment and that inside of these moments, there exists endless possibility to create.

“When I think of Britt and Alex as yoga teachers, two words come to mind: Embodiment and Adhikara (studentship). As yoga instructors and students, they embody the balance of hard skills and soft skills that the yoga calls for; incorporating of the anatomy of an asana and the energy of such asana into their teachings.  Britt and Alex provide a space for students to explore their practice and being that’s rooted in safety, vulnerability and wholeness. In this space, they individually provide insight from their experiences of studentship (adhikara) on and off the mat.  They are pure magic!”
-Sinead M.
“These two are a magical compliment of one another! Both can be soft and challenging though in different ways. What Alex brings in the anatomical body, Britt weaves in the subtle elements of the body. Their understanding of their own bodies provides insight into a range of many bodies- how to move efficiently and what a body needs to heal. The space they hold for a community of people is SO spacious and grounded. It is powerful to sit in a room full of people that these two bring together. Gentle, playful, present, down-to-earth, inquisitive, well-rounded, well-informed. I feel honored to know them and learn from them.”
